WriteToURLOfTypeError Method (absoluteURL, typeName, outError)

Writes the contents of the document to a file or file package located by a URL, formatted to a specified type.

Original signature is '- (BOOL)writeToURL:(NSURL *)absoluteURL ofType:(NSString *)typeName error:(NSError **)outError'

Available in Mac OS X v10.4 and later.

Parameters

absoluteURL (NSURL): The location to which the document contents are written.

typeName (NSString): The string that identifies the document type.

outError (NSError%): On return, If the document contents could not be written, a pointer to an error object that encapsulates the reason they could not be written.

Return Value

YES if the document contents could be written; otherwise, NO.
